Calling the Yarra Valley of Victoria, Australia, home; he started out as a vineyard worker and has now risen to become head winemaker of his own label. He dedicates himself to finding the best cool-climate vineyards in the region, preserving the nuances of their character and articulating his impression through the aroma, flavour and texture of his amazing wines. Ben Haines' Blanc de Now 2021 is made from 100% Pinto Noir and offers crystalline acidity intertwined with tart apple and green strawberry notes, complemented by autolytic nuances of roasted nuts and shortbread. Light floral hints and a subtle umami streak enhance its complexity. This pet nat is very dry, balanced by a velvety texture from three years on lees.
